This policy explains what personal data Ilaan collects, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.
The data controller is Mohammed Khan (sole trader), 220 The Vale, London NW11 8SR. Contact: info.ilaan@gmail.com. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under ZB819266.
• Account data: email, display name, city, and an optional avatar image. • Event and activity data: events you post, RSVPs/tickets, comments and messages. • Payment data (paid events): processed by Stripe; we receive limited transaction metadata, never full card details. • Usage analytics: only if you consent — aggregate app-usage events to improve the product. • Technical data: IP address and device/browser information, used for security and rate-limiting.
• To provide the service and your account — performance of a contract. • To process RSVPs, tickets and payments — performance of a contract. • For safety, moderation and preventing abuse — legitimate interests / legal obligation. • For usage analytics — your consent (which you can withdraw any time in Settings). • To send service emails (e.g. event reminders) — legitimate interests; marketing emails only with consent.
We do not sell your data. We use trusted processors to run the service: • Supabase — hosting, database, authentication and file storage. • Resend — transactional and reminder emails. • Stripe — payment processing for paid events.
Where data is processed outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy or standard contractual clauses) provided by our processors.
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete your associated data (subject to limited records we must retain, e.g. for tax on paid transactions).
Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to certain processing. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time in Settings, and delete your account from Account Settings. To exercise other rights, contact info.ilaan@gmail.com. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
We use essential local storage to keep you signed in. Non-essential usage analytics only run after you opt in via the consent prompt, and can be switched off in Settings.
Ilaan is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
